Saint-Cirq-Lapopie
One of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France" and chosen "The favourite village of the French" in 2012, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is a mediaeval village perched above the river Lot, providing a panoramic view of the valley from the top of the Rock of "Les Lapopie".
Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is a listed site, with 13 Historic Monuments. The village really has managed to retain its mediaeval appearance, taking you back in Time.
Famous in the past for its artisan wood-turners, nowadays it still draws visitors to its mediaeval shop fronts and its art galleries. Since the 20th C., artists, and in particular, the Surrealists, have found a real source of inspiration in Saint-Cirq-Lapopie.
Notably, the famous poet André Breton who settled here wrote of the village : "I have ceased to wish myself elsewhere"…
From the hôtel, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy an exceptional view over the whole village.

There's no doubt that the Causses du Quercy are home to some of the most beautiful places in France. A heritage our ancestors have passed down to us that will lead you off the beaten track to explore an unspoiled area in which Nature flourishes. You'll find peace and serenity as you walk along, with the one you love or with all your family, through the undulating landscapes of the Lot.
In the evening, on the terrace of your Saint Cirquoise room, a glass of something good in front of you, you'll think back over all the places you've seen, some going back over 25 000 years. Only the bells worn by our two sheep and Popie, our donkey, are likely to awaken you from your reverie..
